afewbeers was totally stuffed up when my host had to change a security setting. I have been unable to fix it so have started again. I could use my backup however I really needed to freshen the site up and update a lot of content.

I thought about just deleting everything and saving myself some money but the statistics tell me there are still a lot of you who want this information.

libreOffice, an offshoot from OpenOffice has a more polished look to it than Oo. It can handle OpenOffice files as well as Microsoft files eg. .doc, .odt, .xls, .ods along with presentations and has a similar database setup as Oo. It's quicker to load than Oo was for me although not as fast as microsoft office.

print what you like

Don't you just hate it when you want to print a page off the web and the text is tiny and you wind up wasting ink and space on google ads or background pictures and other fluff you don't want?

Well I've found a wonderful solution in the form of PrintWhatYouLike. PWYL allows you to remove any part of a page, background images, other images, google ads etc. It also allows you to enlarge (or decrease) the font size and then after you have done all that you can fit what's left to the width of the page.
