CQPhone 98/ME/2000/XP 2684 kb It's not often you see a programme as highly rated as this one is at SnapFiles so I've snapped it up. I haven't tried it myself yet as I have no need however the user reviews for this freebie mean that I would have no hesitation in installing it. CQPhone is a small programme that allows you to type, talk or video chat with someone else on the internet who is also using CQPhone. This is like Windows Messenger, MSN and Yahoo messenger but much simpler. First off it is small and very easy to install and setup. It even runs on old Win95 machines and will work with dialup I believe. There are good help files available that are easily found at the site and understood. Take a look at all the SnapFile user reviews and I think you will be impressed When you install CQPhone you will be assigned a phone number. Only give this number to friends or those you trust, do not give it to people you meet on the internet. For a friend to call you on this number they will need to also install CQPhone. Using the assigned numbers you can talk directly with those you chose to or you can use the Public Chat List and meet people from all around the world. You can chat by typing but like all audio and video chatting you will need a headset to talk by voice and a webcam if you want to see each other as well.
