Teacher: No, ma'am. Like I said, it happened at recess. I am on my lunch during their recess.
Angry parent:So you weren't there? You didn't see nothing?
Teacher: I did not see anything. I was not there. I was on my lunch.
Angry parent: So you wasn't there? You is his teacher but you's not with him all day?
Teacher: No ma'am. If I were with these students all day, I would kill myself.

Get Photofiltre from Snapfiles

Photofiltre is a great little graphics programme that I have used to replace microsoft's PhotoEditor. It has all the filters (more than 100), colour correction and editing tools that you find in most graphics programmes but best of all it has Paste as new image like PhotoEditor had and that is one feature I can't live without. To start a new picture in most graphics programmes you have to know in advance what size it is going to be. This doesn't work if you are copying a picture out of a web page or email or document and besides, it's too hard.

Another great point about Photofiltre is that is starts really fast compared to most graphics programmes, much like PhotoEditor. Yippee, no more waiting.


Here's a list of some of the things you can find to do with Photofiltre


  • Resize an image
  • Rotate
  • Frames
  • Shadow frame/drop shadow
  • Flip
  • set transparency
  • add text (limited)
  • Swap colours/change colours
  • adjust brightness, contrast, gamma etc.
  • Export as Icon
  • Apply filters such as aging, edges (chalk, pencil etc.), Tarnish, night effect, sunrise effect, buttonise and heaps more.
