KISS. Simplicity. Small. All I wanted was a small MP3 player without all the bells and whistles. I don't want to understand playlists, I don't want to understand libraries and I certainly don't want to have to create something new just because I'm in a different mood. When I listen to music I want to be able to choose each individual song which will be different every time depending on what I'm doing, how many beers I've had and who else is around. I have all my MP3s sorted in folders. I don't know the genre of half the songs I like and I don't care to have them sorted by that. I also have many singles ie. just one song that I like by an artist so I don't really want them sorted by artist. I just want them sorted by my folders. That should be a simple task shouldn't it? Well apparently not as it has taken me years to find a programme that would do this. Evil Player! Yay. Simply open Evil Player, open windows explorer and drag and drop the songs you want to listen to onto the Evil Player window. ![]() The Evil Player window requires right clicking to open the context menu to do anything. There are no controls visible and you can't pause a song. There is no equilizer either but none of that matters to me. It does what I want and that is I can queue up the songs I want to listen to easily and quickly. ![]() |
