I've been watching Benazir Bhutto's story for many years. No, I don't really understand all the politics of it but this woman caught my attention because of her grace and dignity. I am quite saddened by her death. It doesn't matter how she actually died whether it be by a gunshot, a bomb or a head injury getting into a car, the fact is she was assassinated. I feel sorry for the people of Pakistan who had hoped to have a future with a democracy and freedom. How gutted they must feel right now.

On a lighter note farts still feature highly at google video! There are 4 videos on the top 10 that have the word fart in their title. My new grandson let a huge one rip when he was just 1 day old and my husband was so pleased with him. Onya boy he's saying. All I could think was he is his father's son.

We've had a bit more rain here. Not enough to put water in the dam which is still sitting on just 3% (therefore none for irrigation) but there is heaps of greenery around. We've even had to slash round the house. Nelson, my pet bull is fat and the horses are rolling fat. Now all we need is to be able to afford some new fencing and some more cattle.

So it's the very end of a year that has been good on average for me. Dad broke his back, Mum had kidney problems and the drought has left us up the creek but all is better now and we have Hayden to watch grown up. I hope our earth can survive our destruction just so that Hayden can grow to be an old man comfortably. I also hope that you can all have a very Happy 2008. Stay safe!
